Ask anyone in the western hemisphere about freedom and liberties, even these who are self critical and dialectic by nature can't run from our supremacy syndrome. We are the experts, we always know what's best for us and others.
If it was up to us than whole world would be tomorrow switching to the western model.

Hmm... what about little Buddha? Even if his sitting is a joke or a good imagined tourist promotion of Nepal, would he ever have the chance to rise up in our world.

I bet not, this child would probably already be spotted in early stages as an malfunctioning individual if not by the parents than by kindergarten or school.

The development of this boy would be overshadowed with diagnoses and treatments remedial teachings medications in attempt to make him a useful citizen.

And god forbid if the parents would have an understanding for their child and allowed him to join some monk education at the age of 11, then they (instead of him) would have hit the top titles in the newspapers as brainwashed weirdoes negligent to the real needs of their child.

Just imagine what the consequences would be for any parent here (if one would), let 15 year son sit under the fig tree for 6 long months.
