Got this pers report from friend of mine this morning from Serbia, reading this I have remembered words from 1987 from blood thirsty Milosevic in Kosovo shouting to frenzy masses "Nobody will ever again beat Serbs" well time is changed Serb Radical Nationalist thus Milosevic descedents so called patrons of the nation are beating now own people.



"On 6 February 2007, three actors of the local theatre 'Pozoriste mladih' were brutally beaten in Novi Sad, Serbia in early morning hours. The brutal act of violence is the latest outcome of the problem that has been escalating for four months, between the actors who have gone on strike demanding the resignation of the theatre manager and the theatre management.

The actors, whose claims are well-substantiated, conducted the strike on the premises of the theatre. Around 1:30 a.m, while sleeping, they were physically attacked by a gang of 10 hooligans, sent by the manager, Mr. Tomislav Knezevic. The hooligans ran into the building and attacked the strikers waving their bats and shouting "Get out of here!" and throwing the strikers out on the street.

The Union of Art of Associations of Novi Sad strongly condemns this uncivilized and brutal act of the manager of Pozoriste mladih - Mr. Tomislav Knezevic, against three actors of this theatre: Emil Kurcinak, Dragan Zoric and Zoran Andrejin.

We express our utmost bitterness at the attitude of the city authorities which have been for four months ignoring and marginalizing this problem, thus allowing that incompetent management, introduction of police tyrannical methods, blackmail and threats, abuse of power and office, escalate in the act of hooligan beating and serious breach of human rights, designed by the very person to whom the preservation and development of Pozoriste mladih had been entrusted.

We call on all the authorized bodies, institutions and individuals to accept responsibility for appointing Tomislav Knezevic to manage this theatre.

We are warning the public that behaviour such as his brings about degradation of society, destroying the basic elements because of which Novi Sad used to be seen as a town of culture. Such behaviour is taking us far away from the set goal - far away from the true democratization of society.

We are calling on you to offer a clear and unambiguous support to the efforts of the actors and staff of Pozoriste mladih: to defend their constitutional and human rights, to get a manager who will help them keep up with the modern tendencies in the theatrical art and management, to go on the stage of this theatre and act - for the sake of our children, for the protection of every citizen's rights.
