Probability Theory - How to go beyond the conventional mathematics of probability theory

Baye's Theorem in the practice

After all this fuzz with Baye's Theorem (at least here in Holland) where where cases that it was used in the court to prove the credibility of the evidence and than that silly article of "67% chance that god existed", so I started to be curios what the Baye's Theorem was. Friend of mine respected scientist gave me tip to read the "Probability Theory" from E. T. Jaynes. I have to admit I feel like I'm back in the basic school trying figure out how the formulas work, and all I can certainly admit is I feel like got just two digit IQ.
This book goes beyond the conventional mathematics of probability theory, viewing the subject in a wider context. New results are discussed, along with applications of probability theory to a wide variety of problems in physics, mathematics, economics, chemistry and biology. It contains many exercises and problems, and is suitable for use as a textbook on graduate level courses involving data analysis.
